There are a lot of different nozzles on the market. You can either buy very cheap nozzlesor, on the other side of the spectrum, nozzles for even more than one hundred dollars. As every maker knows: The standard brass nozzles will wear out from time to time.

If you are printing abrasive materials like carbon fibre, glow in the dark or even wood filament, you have to change your nozzle every so often. This can be a costly thing if you are printing a lot on a regular basis. At this point it is a good thing to invest in nozzles with better quality.

On our machines, we had the best performance with the nozzles from Zodiac. Of course, they do cost more than the cheap made brass ones but also won't wear out like the brass ones do.

In the end, every user has to decide for himself: Do I want a standard nozzle or do I want a better one?

Feel free to tell us your experience with the different nozzles that are available on the market today! We would like to hear about your experience.

I am currently using a micro swiss m2 hardened nozzle, but switching to the direct drive there aren't as many options. I am going to try a cheaper hardened nozzle I found on amazon.

Are there any specific specifications for the nozzles for the direct drive extruder? I'm looking at getting both 0.25 and a 0.6 mm units. I may even go larger for some structural prints.

Hello everyone! We will release the nozzle in a few days. You cant use just any Volcano Nozzle because the pointyness of the "normal" aftermarket ones isnt simply enough. This will result in the tip ofthe nozzle not reaching the belt and also burning the belt with the hexagonal part of the nozzle.
