Hey @Julian
Here's the side view. Also after adjusting the belt that was loose and tightening it with zip ties again, it is super loose again after 1 print. Got a lot of layer shifts.
@Julian or anyone. I'm having a rough time with this printer. I can't seem to get consistent prints. Usually it's the front (beginning of the print) curls up a bit. Even when there's good stick to the bed. Now I have layer shifting. It's about to the point where I want to just start over with...
You'd have to do some port forwarding on your router as well to allow outside your network. I'm not saying its the safest thing to do yadda yadda... but you know.
Well. I have yet to print a successful print with what I'd consider a raft. I've played with the raft settings and the starting nozzle height, but not luck so far. It either doesn't stick to the raft or the raft is part of the print and no way to peel it off. I'll keep messing with it. Just...
Octoprint should have it as part of the instance. I use Octoprint with the mobile app Octopod. Even if I'm in my print farm I still use Octopod on my phone to start prints and what not.
@Julian If that was to me, yes I used just a normal install and then installed Octodash. I like it a lot, what I have used of it. Now just need to get my printer to print consistently
Ok. Can anyone help me figure this one out? The printed object is being condensed somehow. The yellow one is printed on the Ifactory3D and the black one on a Prusa. This is the bottom piece of a box, so I noticed because I was printing the lid on the Prusa. Now this is a side by side of the same...
@Julian Thank you so much for the suggestion. I used the Blackbelt Cura and turned raft on. It shows in the layer view at least. Starting print soon! 🤞
Haven't had time to run something with it yet, but controls work well. I like it and it's not resting all the time like Octoscreen was.
Also wasn't hard to set up. Set up a Octoprint instance, then run the install script Octodash has. https://unchartedbull.github.io/OctoDash/index.html
By pure accident I did notice in "Custom Commands" there is a rotate belt one time command. It was nice on a longer part to get it off, but did take a while.
I was curious if having a raft was possible. Seems like I've clicked it on in ideaMaker and there are no options in Bed Adhesion in iFactory's Cura. I understand that it'd be kind of difficult compared to how the raft works in standard printers. I'm just trying to figure out a way to not have...
I agree. If it's a single item print or the last print in the queue, would be easy enough to have the belt roll x amount of distance. Guess that could be an end gcode command, but then it would do it every time .
Nice! I haven't tried Octodash. Maybe I'll check that one out. Currently I have it running with just a standard Octoprint install and connected to my RaiseCloud. Seems to be working ok.
I replaced the pi and screen for something a bit better. The wifi on the little board just didn't have the strength. Once I got it setup again I've had problem after problem. Seems like octoscreen does some refreshing stuff... then when I thought everything was good to go... it would reboot...
The iFactory octoprint seems to work ok. Just seems weird that is reconnects/refreshes so much. Anyone else seeing this? I'm wondering if is the board can't handle the wifi or my wifi where the printer is isn't great. I do have a bunch of other raspberry pis in the same room that connect fine...
So I'm curious where these options are available at? I know there's a big time difference and it was just the weekend, but I'm at the point where I think I could use some help getting my printer running correctly.
