Remote connection

Hi everyone,

I have been reading that there are multiple plugins from Octoprint to allow remote connection with you printer. I created this Thread to share our experiences about it.

Which approach you choose? How has it been your experiences with it?

Octoprint should have it as part of the instance. I use Octoprint with the mobile app Octopod. Even if I'm in my print farm I still use Octopod on my phone to start prints and what not.

I managed to get local connection using the Octipod app too. But that does only work when I am in a local network. At the Ifactory setting there are few pluggins installed for remote connection and I would love to know which one people are using. I don't find any information about that on the manuals

You'd have to do some port forwarding on your router as well to allow outside your network. I'm not saying its the safest thing to do yadda yadda... but you know.
